A London software team for American companies

We build websites, apps and AI products, run paid search and host what we ship, working with US teams remotely from the UK.

We are a UK company and we do not have a US office, so everything runs over video calls, shared project boards and written updates. East Coast teams get the most overlap with our day, while West Coast clients usually settle on a morning call and asynchronous updates. Weekly demos mean you see progress whether or not you are awake for our stand-up.

New York is normally five hours behind London, so UK afternoons overlap with the East Coast morning; California is eight hours behind, leaving a shorter window at the start of the Pacific day. The US and UK change clocks on different dates in spring and autumn, so for a few weeks each year the gap is an hour smaller.

There is no single federal privacy law, so we design to support your compliance with the CCPA/CPRA and the growing set of state privacy laws, including opt-out links and consent signals such as Global Privacy Control. Do you have an office in the United States?

No. Devute is based in the UK and works with US clients remotely, meeting on video. Travel for workshops can be arranged when a project needs it.

Can we pay in US dollars?

Prices on our site are shown in pounds sterling and exclude VAT. Your written quote sets out the amount and payment terms before any work begins.

Will the hours work for a West Coast team?

Usually, with some planning. We keep a regular call in the Pacific morning and rely on written updates and weekly demos for the rest.
