Website Terms of Use
The rules for using www.devute.com. Prices on the site are guides; your written quote is what binds us both.
1. Who we are
www.devute.com is run by Devute Ltd (previously named Devute UK Ltd), a private limited company registered in England and Wales with company number 14301159. Our registered office is 53 Leafield Avenue, Bradford, England, BD2 3SE. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Devute Ltd, and “you” means anyone using the site.
You can contact us at info@devute.com.
2. Using the site and these terms
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms cover your use of the website only. When you buy something from us, our Terms of Business, Subscription Terms or Course & Training Terms apply to that purchase. Our Acceptable Use Policy applies to services we host or provide.
The site is free to use. It is aimed at people and businesses in the UK, although you may access it from elsewhere.
3. Information and prices on the site
We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it is general information about our services, not advice for your particular situation. Please do not rely on it as advice.
- Prices shown on the site are “from” prices. They describe the smallest version of a job and are a guide only.
- Your written quote, which we provide after a free audit, is what sets the price and scope. The quote is binding once accepted; the website is not an offer.
- Prices are shown excluding VAT. We are not currently registered for VAT. If we become VAT registered, VAT will be added at the prevailing rate and shown on your quote and invoice.
- Case studies and examples show past results. They are not a promise of the same results for you.
4. Our content
We, or the people who license material to us, own the intellectual property in the site, including its text, design, graphics, code and logos. Some photographs are used under licence from their creators, who are credited on our photo credits page.
You may view and print pages for your own reference, and share links to them. You may not copy, republish, sell or adapt our content for commercial purposes, or remove any copyright notice, without our written permission. You may not use the Devute name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
5. Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, such as social media, ad platforms and tools we use. We include them for convenience only. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your data. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
You may link to our home page or any public page, as long as you do so fairly and lawfully and do not suggest any association or endorsement that does not exist.
6. How you must not use the site
You must not:
- use the site for anything unlawful or fraudulent;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site, the servers it runs on, or any connected system, such as our client portal or CRM;
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material, or attack the site through a denial-of-service attack or similar;
- scrape, crawl or copy the site in a way that harms its performance or that ignores our robots.txt instructions;
- send spam, misleading enquiries or automated form submissions;
- pretend to be someone else when contacting us.
Breaching the Computer Misuse Act 1990 is a criminal offence. We may report any such breach to the authorities and block access from those responsible.
7. Enquiries and submissions
When you send us an enquiry or any other information through the site, you confirm that it is accurate and that you are entitled to share it. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the contact form; we will arrange a secure route if needed.
Sending an enquiry does not create a contract. A contract only exists once you accept a written quote or complete an order. We may decline any enquiry.
If you send us ideas or feedback about our site or services, we may use them without owing you anything, but we will not publish your details without your permission. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data in enquiries.
8. Our liability for the website
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
If you use the site as a business, we exclude all implied terms about the site to the extent the law allows, and we are not liable for any loss of profit, sales, business, revenue, data, goodwill or for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the site or reliance on its content.
If you use the site as a consumer, we only provide the site for private and domestic use. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. If digital content we supplied through the site damages your device or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.
These terms deal only with the website. Our liability when we provide services is covered by the contract for those services.
9. Availability and security
We do not guarantee that the site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of the site for business or operational reasons.
We take reasonable steps to keep the site secure, but we do not guarantee that it is free from bugs or viruses. You should use your own virus protection software.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how the site works. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Please check this page when you use the site; the terms in force at the time apply to your use.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts and you keep the protection of your local law.
If you have a concern about the site, please email info@devute.com first so we can try to resolve it.
